Project Management Software Tools

Tools from our Members

Playbook & Tracker from Rohda Allen, IBM
At our September 2006 meeting, Rhoda discussed managing complex projects with stakeholders in different companies and organizations. She has generously shared the Excel spreadsheets that she developed through years of project management experience with us. Agreed, these tools are not some million dollar web based project management suite. But the ubiquity of MS Excel makes them an excellent means to communicate project statuses to a diverse group of stakeholders through e-mails. Given that a project managers three main responsibilities are communication, communication, and communication, these tools will be a valuable asset to project managers working across disconnected organizational boundaries.
