About the Savannah River Chapter of PMI

The chapter was founded in 1991 and at that time consisted entirely of SRS employees. Now less than half of the members are SRS employees. As of January 1, 2007 the chapter had 134 members of whom 91 members are PMP’s. The chapter is incorporated as Non-Profit organization in the state of Georgia. The meeting attendance is generally about 30 including visitors.

We are proud of our affiliation with the Project Management Institute (PMI) which is the world's leading project management association. Through it's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK©), PMI has established the project management standard of excellence. Besides PMBOK© PMI provides numerous publications, periodicals, educational seminars, and a certification and recertification program.
